Our Teachers
Antonia Rivas — or Nanay (pronounced Na-Nai) as her nieces and nephews call her — has been working with children of all ages in a variety of settings for years, and running her own program for the last 20 years. .
She previously worked at L.A. Unified School District, first as a teacher assistant and later as an intervention specialist. She is passionate about teaching, advocacy, and education.
Having raised two daughters of her own, Nanay believes that providing a nurturing environment for children helps them to reach their full potential.
In addition to her two daughters, Nanay has four grandchildren. She has fostered five children and also has been a host mom for five international students.

Philosophy
Having been a child care provider for over 18 years, I cherish playing the role of caregiver, nurturer, and teacher. I welcome you and your family into my home.
Our program provides educational activities, a thoughtful structure and nutritious meals for our students. We strive to enhance the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of our children.
We provide a safe and happy place for your child to learn and grow as she/he becomes a positive addition to our society. Together, we will work as a team to provide the best for your child.

Location
Nanay’s Wonderschool is located in a beautiful home and outdoor space in Reseda, where our students can play and explore.
We are close to Cal State Northridge, the Northridge and Topanga Malls. We are in the corner of the meeting place of four cities: Reseda, Northridge, Tarzana, and Winnetka. The 101 freeway and the 118 freeway are nearby and accessible.
We grow tomatoes and figs, and also have chickens.

At Nanay’s Family Child Care Wonderschool, our mission is to provide a nurturing, safe, fun, and caring environment for all students. We strive to offer high quality care and provide a secure environment that fosters imagination and learning. To help our students grow and develop, we also engage in sensory activities, such as music, dance, and crafts.

2. Tour our program
Come see what makes Nanay’s Wonderschool unique. Please schedule a tour or attend an Open House event.
3. Submit an Enrollment Application
If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.
4. Enroll
After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
