Carline Hinds – Teacher
English Way Preschool was opened in 2011. It is run by Carline Hinds, a teacher with over twenty years experience in teaching and learning. Carline has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
For ten years, Carline worked at ++Calverton Primary School++ in London England, teaching a variety of elementary children aged 4 - 11 years old. She has worked with many diverse groups of children over the years and holds special needs certification in teaching children with mild to moderate learning difficulties as well as children on the autistic spectrum.
At ++The International Preschools++ in Manhattan NY, Carline taught an all day four year old class, and later as the Director of the school, she managed the day to day running of the location, its staff of 29 teachers and its diverse community of 500 children.
Philosophy
At English Way Preschool we believe every child deserves the best possible start in life to fulfill their potential. What a child experiences in their early years has a major impact on their future. A safe and happy childhood is important and provides a solid foundation for children to grow.
When parents choose a preschool, they want to know that everything will be done to keep their children safe and help them thrive. English Way is that preschool! Our mission is to build confidence and love of learning, giving children a solid start on their way to Kindergarten.
PLAY, EXPLORATION and CREATIVITY are at the heart of everything that we do and we encourage you to, “Come and learn the English Way!”
Location
English Way Wonderschool is located in a bright, inviting single family home in the Oceanside neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), and dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy).
Children will spend most of the day outdoors in my private yard or outdoor space. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.
At English Way Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.
