Hello! My name is Hallouma, and I am the founder and lead curriculum designer of French-American Academy Wonderschool. I am a Native French speaker, born in Northern France and received Masters Degrees in French Communication & International Business from the University of Charles De Gaulle. I am in finishing my Masters Degree in Psychology with the professional designation of Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a specialization in child developmental psychology. I have over a decade of teaching experience with young children and was inspired to start my own French immersion childcare program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community.

Philosophy

We have developed a unique ‘total immersion’ teaching approach by communicating with the children almost exclusively in French while carefully adopting the vocabulary, subject matter and sentence structures. They not only hear French but also Russian, Spanish and English. At French-American Academy Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages children with developmentally-appropriate activities and materials. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learn.

The program at the French-American Academie Wonderschool in the Shoreline West neighborhood of Mountain View is designed to support the development of children. The school offers a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child. The facilities include a lovely patio area where children can get fresh air and engage in outdoor activities. The school is committed to providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere that fosters learning, exploration, and discovery. About our program

About us The Play-based French Immersion Preschool is designed for students between the ages of 18 to 6 years old. The program focuses on providing a fun and engaging learning environment that emphasizes the acquisition of four key skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the French language. Through play-based activities, children are encouraged to use their imagination and creativity to build their language skills and develop a love of learning. The curriculum is designed to provide a balanced approach to language acquisition, ensuring that children receive exposure to all four skills in a dynamic and interactive setting.

In addition, the preschool provides a healthy lunch along with two snacks to ensure that children are well-nourished and ready to learn. The goal of the program is to create a positive and supportive environment for children to develop their language abilities and become confident and effective communicators in French. With a focus on the acquisition of these four skills, the Play-based French Immersion Preschool is the ideal choice for parents looking for a comprehensive and enjoyable approach to language learning for their young children.

If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/french-american-academy-wonderschool-5875/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
