Our Teachers

Hello! I am Martha Sosa, the founder of Sosa Family Child Care Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have 10 years of experience working with young children.

My sister has a child care program where I worked for several years. I raised five children of my own and loved helping them learn and grow. My sons and daughters have graduated from college and I’m happy to be working with one of my daughters to raise a generation of bright, caring and intelligent little ones.

Philosophy

At Sosa Family Child Care Wonderschool, I provide a safe and loving environment so that parents can feel confident that their children are in good hands here. As a child care provider, I am caring, honest, responsible, hardworking and humble. My goal is to impart knowledge through various activities, from arts & crafts to reading and science lessons. We love doing science projects with children and teaching them literacy skills.

We prepare children for kindergarten through age-appropriate learning materials and opportunities to explore their unique interests. We also value teaching children how to respect one another, communicate, and be kind so that they become responsible and successful in the future.

Location

Sosa Family Child Care Wonderschool is located in a bright, charming single family home in the South LA neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), and manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts).

Children will have some outdoor time every day in my spacious backyard. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
