Sherice D, Owner and Head Teacher

Hello! I am Sherice and I am thrilled to offer loving care and education to children in my community. I am the mother of two wonderful children (now 10 and 15 years old).

I have over 15 years of experience working with children. I have worked as a youth educational director, teacher’s assistant as well as have held various volunteer experiences.

I decided to open my own child care after finding out first hand that good quality education in Los Angeles is very hard to come by. Children need consistency, confidence building and nurturing environments in order to achieve success educationally and socially.

Philosophy

Hello Parents! Although we are not offering in-person tours, we are able to conduct virtual tours over the phone for families seeking child care! Please click “Contact School” to set up a time for a call with our director.

At Ready Set Grow LA (RSG-LA) it is our mission to provide quality, nurturing care to each child.

RSG-LA teaches to the whole child (educationally and socially). We are committed to preparing each child to thrive, confident in their educational and social endeavors.

Small service projects are a part of daily curriculum as well as family style meals.

We believe that allowing a child a small amount of independence in everyday dining and play will inspire and encourage growth and confidence.

Location

Ready Set Grow LA Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, charming apartment in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), and reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite).

Children will have some outdoor time every day at a local park or playground. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Ready Set Grow LA Wonderschool, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.

Come see what makes Ready Set Grow LA Wonderschool unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
