Our Teachers

Hello! I am Rosa Ochoa, the founder of Ochoa Family Child Care Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have over 10 years of experience working with young children. Previously, I worked at another in-home child care program in my community and I enjoyed it so much, i decided to open my own. I truly love what I do, which is why I focus on maintaining small ratios in my program to focus on providing love and attention for each child in my care.

Philosophy

Here at Ochoa Family Child Care, my husband and I work as a team to attend to your child based on your child’s unique needs and abilities. Together with you, the parent, we will do our best to make your child’s progress successful, and our priority is for your child to be safe, independent and happy. We are always looking to improve and continuously take the classes required by the licensing offices as well as the Hope Street Family Center agency to better our curriculum and child care methods.

Yo y mi esposo pondremos lo mejor de nosotros para que el progreso de su hijo sea exitoso, y mi prioridad es que el niño(a) sea un niño(a) seguro e independiente y feliz. Tenemos las clases requedidas por las oficinas de licencia y la agencia de Hope Street Family Center y aqui no paramos, continuaremos tomando clases para cada dia ser mejores ayudantes de niños.

Location

Ochoa Family Child Care Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, inviting single family home in the South Los Angeles neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), and block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving).

Children will have some outdoor time every day in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Ochoa Family Child Care Wonderschool, I want to provide a loving home away from home.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
