Our Teachers

Hello! I am Isabel Mundy, the founder of Mundy Family Wonderschool. I am originally from Chile and started working as an assistant at a family child care program almost 20 years ago. What started as work out of necessity has transformed into my life’s passion, and every day I fall more deeply in love with this work and more passionate about the children in my care.

I have 16 years of experience working with young children, and currently have 12 ECE units, though am working toward a degree and currently taking more courses at East LA College. I am also a proud mother and grandmother.

Hola! Soy Isabel Mundy, la fundadora de Mundy Family Wonderschool. Originario de Chile, comencé a trabajar como asistente en un programa de cuidado infantil familiar hace casi 20 años. Lo que empezó como un trabajo por necesidad se convertio en la pasión de mi vida. Todos los días me enamoro más de este trabajo y me apasionan más los niños bajo mi cuidado.

Tengo 16 años de experiencia trabajando con niños pequeños, y actualmente tengo 12 unidades de ECE, aunque estoy trabajando para obtener un título y actualmente estoy tomando más cursos en East LA College. También soy una madre orgullosa y una abuela.

Philosophy

At Mundy Family Wonderschool, we believe in the importance of love and tenderness for all children, and treating each other with respect and kindness. We are a play-based program with an emphasis on art, music and dance, where children are encouraged to freely explore their space.

Our program is a Spanish immersion to encourage children to learn and grow in their language abilities. 

En Mundy Family Wonderschool, creemos en la importancia del amor, cariño y la ternura para todos los niños, y en tratar todos con respeto y amabilidad. Somos un programa basado en juegos con énfasis en el arte, la música y la danza, donde los niños son alentados a los niños a explorar libremente su espacio.

Nuestro programa es una inmersión en español para alentar a los niños a aprender y crecer en sus habilidades lingüísticas.

Location

Mundy Family Wonderschool is located in a bright, beautiful single family home on a quiet residential street in the Jefferson Park neighborhood. We are located off of Jefferson Blvd, one block from 6th Avenue Elementary School.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Our space is clean, sunny and welcoming. While we have been playing and doing art projects in the front yard, we are in the process of completely renovating our backyard, which will soon have brand new turf, shade and toys for children to play on.

At Mundy Family Wonderschool, we want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.

Mundy Family Wonderschool se encuentra en una hermosa y luminosa casa en una tranquila calle residencial en el vecindario de Jefferson Park. Estamos ubicados cerca de Jefferson Blvd, a una cuadra de la 6th Avenue Elementary School.

Hemos diseñado nuestro entorno de atención con áreas de juego y aprendizaje que permiten a los niños explorar diversas actividades apropiadas para el desarrollo en función de sus intereses. Nuestro espacio es limpio, soleado y acogedor. Aunque hemos estado jugando y haciendo proyectos de arte en el patio delantero, estamos en el proceso de renovar por completo nuestro patio trasero, que pronto tendrá césped, sombra y juguetes nuevos para que jueguen los niños.

En Mundy Family Wonderschool, quiero proporcionar un ambiente enriquecedor donde los niños se sientan libres de explorar y jugar.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/mundy-family-wonderschool-3566/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
