Philosophy
Here at Honeybee Forest School our philosophy is provide a space for positive nature connection within the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. We strive to provide an opportunity for children and families to spend more time outdoors developing a deeper understanding of the natural world. By spending more time connecting with our natural environment we are able to nurture a greater respect and love for nature. Our philosophy is to promote mindfulness and to support children in developing a closer relationship to the natural world.
About our program
Honeybee Forest School meets in the northeast area of Los Angeles. Our program is inspired by Waldorf and Coyote Mentoring emergent curriculum approaches. We are largely a child-led and play centered, but we do focus on incorporating a few key areas into our program. These include developmentally appropriate naturalist studies, sustainability practices, yoga, mindfulness, bilingual music, bilingual literature appreciation, cooking skills, and gardening.
