Our Teachers

Hi, my name is Pamela Hill, and I am the director and owner of A Child’s Palace. I am a proud mother of two wonderful boys and a wife to an amazing husband. I started my child care business in 2003 in our smaller size two bedroom/2 bath condo, and I quickly realize how much I enjoyed teaching and caring for children. We started looking for a larger home and soon found and purchase our current six bedroom/3 bath home. The rest is history.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from CSULB and continued my education to pursue a Master of Science degree in Health Care Management from CSULA. I am a certified trainer in Infant and Toddler Caregiving, and I am also CPR and First Aid certified.

I believe that choosing a child care provider is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child and that family involvement is essential to any quality child care program. I encourage and welcome parent participation. I believe that parents are the first and primary teachers of their children, and open communication makes it possible for me to work in harmony with you in the growth and development of your child. I do not consider myself a babysitter. I work as a partner with you to help your child celebrate the successes and navigate through the challenges. I feel that open and honest communication is essential to provide your child with the best care possible.

Testimonials

If your looking for child care look no further, this is a great place for your little ones to learn and grown. Ms. Pam is great with the kids, very attentive to there needs. She is very organized and keeps you well informed of how and what your child is doing. The news letter provided to parents is very informative, she is open to conversations and suggestions to come up with a plan for the best care for your little one. The facility is very clean and spacious, with multiple area’s for the kids to enjoy. My child has a smile when dropped off and comes home with a big smile and worn out from a day of having fun and learning. at ACP everything is done by the book and professionally, I receive a report daily of how my child ate, slept etc. it is nice that each child has there own space for there personal items. I truly feel that when I leave, my wishes are respected and followed for my child to receive the best care possible. You will not regret bringing your child here. -CJR

Ms. Pam is the best, knowing my grandson is in good hands is “ KEY “ for me. I walk him in and know he is well taking care of and i can head to work with peace of mine. I highly recommend her daycare, it is so cute so many things for him to do, play and learn . My grandson is 2 yrs old seeing him interact with other kids is very cool. So yes for anyone looking for a great daycare in Long Beach this is the place to check out for your child. -Marisela R.

Absolutely love Mrs Pam and Mrs Carolina ! They’re very friendly and my daughter loves coming here….so much that she doesn’t even want to leave when I pick her up lol. My little on cried for the first 2 weeks but Mrs Pam made sure to comfort me and let me know that it was normal (first time mom here) . Sure enough, took her the 3rd week and no tears  Mrs Pam has the kids do a lot of activities and keeps them active. They all love her too! Gets tons of hugs from them  highly recommended. -Tania M

I currently have my 5th child enrolled at ACP, and for many good reasons. Mrs. Pamela and her staff have been nothing short of spectacular over the years. Not only does ACP provide a clean, safe, and nurturing environment, you can also rest assured that your child will be learning vital skills that will put them well beyond standard going into grade school. This is not your run of the mill day care center. ACP is truly a Center of Early Education. All you have to do is take the tour and you’ll find it’s the right place for your child to be. -Yusef W.

If you are looking for a place that feels like home for you child, this is the place. Ms. Pam and her staff love on the babies as if they are their very own. Sometimes my baby is so busy getting ready for his day once he walks in that he can’t even stop to say goodbye. Yesterday my son even cried when it was time to go home! I take comfort in knowing he is good hands and well cared for. All of the children here are thriving! -M.H.

I cannot say enough good things about a Child’s Palace. My 1 yr old started attending in August after having a difficult time adjusting to her previous day care. I was nervous about her starting a new day care and was worried about how she would adjust to a new environment and teachers. My worries literally went out the door after only her first day. There were no tears when my husband and l dropped her off which was major because she was still crying almost every day during drop off at her previous day care. Pamela and her staff are amazing teachers who are nurturing and truly care about each child. Seeing how comfortable my daughter felt being cared for by Pamela in such a short amount of time brought me so much relief and peace of mind because l knew she was in safe loving hands. All the areas for the children are clean and neat with age appropriate toys. My daughter has learned new words and songs as well as how to wash her hands!! She always has a big smile on her face when l pick her up. I recommend A Child’s Palace to any parent looking for a quality day care with dedicated loving teachers. -Alejandra M.

Philosophy

At A Child’s Palace Wonderschool, we believe preschool should be a place of great wonder and possibilities for children.

Our environment consists of safe areas to explore, play and reflect for the children. As children work and play together, the teacher’s are their guides, who encourage questions, critical thinking, and listening. We value friendship, community, and celebrate virtues such as courage and kindness with children. We honor diversity in many ways, including incorporating the Spanish language throughout the day. Nutritional health is also of the utmost importance as well. Our director is a Certified Nutritional Expert who designs a delicious, whole foods menu for the children each day.

Location

A Child’s Palace has a large indoor and outdoor space for your child to be creative and active. Our facility is modern, clean, and child proofed. Though spacious in size, we manage to provide an intimate environment where children are encouraged to develop at their own pace. Our learning room is set up like a classroom to help prepare children for the school environment outside of ACP. Our facility has a variety of age-appropriate play equipment and material, colorful wall decor, a cozy book area, block area, dramatic play area, manipulative toys, and the right size table and chairs, puzzles, games, and more.

As experts in Child Development, we can choose the quality of toys and activities to fill our space. We prefer open-ended toys and explorations for children to develop their imagination and not be over-stimulated. We recently just had a complete facility makeover.
