Meet Ms. Karra — Founder & Educator at Little Sprouts House 🌱
Ms. Karra is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where young children can learn, grow, and thrive. Her commitment to early childhood education is rooted in the belief that every child deserves individualized attention, meaningful learning experiences, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
With a background in child development coursework and certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Basic Life Support (BLS), Ms. Karra prioritizes children’s safety, well being, and developmental growth. She also has experience working with toddlers with autism and social emotional challenges, recognizing the importance of patience, understanding, consistency, and individualized support in helping each child feel secure and included.
In line with her commitment to early learning, Ms. Karra has developed a custom educational workbook used during structured learning time. Her curriculum is thoughtfully designed to engage young minds through interactive lessons and hands on activities that build essential foundational skills in a joyful, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate way.
Ms. Karra is also supported by Ms. Marie, who brings 17 years of experience working with infants, including infants with special needs. Sherie’s extensive experience contributes to a nurturing, attentive, and supportive environment where even the youngest learners can receive individualized care and encouragement.
At Little Sprouts House, the focus extends beyond childcare to fostering each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Through play based learning, creative exploration, structured activities, and positive relationships, children are encouraged to build confidence, develop independence, and discover the world around them.
Ms. Karra believes strong partnerships with families are essential to a child’s success. She strives to create a welcoming environment where families feel heard, respected, and confident that their children are receiving compassionate care and meaningful early learning opportunities.
Just as little sprouts need care and nurturing to flourish, children need patience, encouragement, and opportunities to grow. Ms. Karra and the Little Sprouts House team are dedicated to helping every child feel valued, supported, and celebrated throughout their early learning journey.

Our Philosophy & Program Values
Our Philosophy
At Little Sprouts House, we believe every child is a unique little sprout with unlimited potential to grow, learn, and flourish. Our philosophy is rooted in the understanding that early childhood is a precious period of discovery, development, and foundation-building. We are committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Our program supports the whole child by nurturing cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development. Through hands-on learning, structured activities, imaginative play, sensory exploration, and Montessori-inspired experiences, we encourage curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence. We recognize that children develop at different rates and honor each child’s individual strengths, interests, abilities, and developmental needs.
At Little Sprouts House, we understand that meaningful learning begins with trusting relationships. Our dedicated caregivers prioritize responsive, compassionate care and create opportunities for children to build secure attachments, develop social-emotional skills, express themselves, and form positive relationships with others. We strive to provide an inclusive environment that respects individual differences and supports children with diverse developmental and social-emotional needs.
We believe wellness is an essential part of early learning. Through safe routines, healthy habits, nutritious meals, movement, and opportunities to explore the natural world, we encourage children to develop a positive foundation for lifelong well-being. Our Christian values of kindness, patience, compassion, gratitude, and grace are reflected in the way we care for and interact with children and families.
We also believe families are a child’s first and most influential teachers. By building trusting partnerships with parents and caregivers, we create a collaborative community where children receive consistent encouragement and support between home and childcare.
At Little Sprouts House, our goal extends beyond preparing children for preschool or kindergarten. We strive to cultivate a lifelong love of learning, a strong sense of belonging, growing independence, and the confidence to explore the world with curiosity and joy.
Every child deserves the right environment, nurturing relationships, and meaningful opportunities to grow. At Little Sprouts House, we nurture the roots, celebrate the growth, and inspire every little sprout to flourish.

Our Program Values
- Respect for the Child
We recognize every infant, toddler, and young child as a capable individual with unique interests, strengths, abilities, and developmental needs. We honor each child’s pace of development, encourage age-appropriate independence, and provide freedom to explore within safe and supportive boundaries.
- Gentle, Responsive Care
We believe loving, attentive relationships are the foundation of healthy development. Our caregivers respond thoughtfully to children’s cues, offer comfort and encouragement, and build trust through consistency, patience, and warm interactions.
- Montessori-Inspired Exploration
We create purposeful learning opportunities that encourage children to explore, experiment, problem-solve, and learn through hands-on experiences. Our environment promotes curiosity, coordination, concentration, and independence while allowing children to discover new concepts at their own pace.
- Inclusive and Individualized Support
We celebrate the unique qualities of every child and strive to create an environment where all children feel welcomed and included. We recognize that children may have different developmental, sensory, communication, and social-emotional needs. Our approach emphasizes patience, understanding, positive guidance, and appropriate individualized support.
- Faith, Kindness, and Compassion
Our Christian values guide us in modeling kindness, patience, honesty, gratitude, compassion, and grace. We encourage children to treat others with care and respect while fostering an atmosphere of love, belonging, and joy.
- Sensory-Rich Learning and Discovery
We provide engaging opportunities for children to explore textures, sounds, movement, colors, natural materials, music, art, and other sensory experiences. These experiences encourage curiosity and support the development of language, coordination, self-expression, and early problem-solving skills.
- Health, Safety, and Wellness
We prioritize children’s health and safety through attentive supervision, consistent routines, safe learning spaces, and appropriate health and hygiene practices. We encourage nutritious eating, physical activity, rest, and healthy habits that support children’s overall well-being.
- Partnership with Families
We believe families are a child’s first teachers and essential partners in early learning. Through open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration, we work with families to understand each child’s needs, celebrate milestones, and support continued growth and development.
- Consistency, Security, and Belonging
We provide predictable routines, clear and loving guidance, and nurturing interactions that help children feel secure. A strong sense of belonging allows children to build trust, develop confidence, explore their surroundings, and form positive relationships.
- A Lifelong Love of Learning
We believe learning should be meaningful, engaging, and joyful. By encouraging questions, celebrating effort, supporting creativity, and providing opportunities for discovery, we help children develop the confidence and curiosity to become enthusiastic lifelong learners.
