Mrs. Caceres - Director and ECE Teacher
Hello Families! I am Karen, founder of Little Steps Wonderschool. I was inspired to start our own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in our community where children would receive amazing care but also, learn in a safe, fun and bilingual environment. I have worked with children and families from different backgrounds for over 10 years and love being teaching to little ones in their early years of life. I earned my ECE Teaching Credential in SF California, I also posses an Family Developmental Credential from the University of Connecticut. Teaching and supporting early literacy areas in a bilingual implementation is my passion, teaching them a second language is a privilege and we all enjoy it!

Testimonials
“We are so happy that we found your daycare! Thank you for planting the seed of love, happiness and knowledge into our daughter…no amount of gratitude we could express would be enough. We are blessed to have such an amazing place to send her everyday. You are more than a daycare, you are family!” - Marvin M.
”We’ve had our little one at Little Steps for 6 months and have been very pleased. Karen and Mercedes take good care of the children and are constantly improving the daycare (new posters, toys, etc.) and Karen is always taking courses and learning more about early childhood education.”. - Randy A.
We had a truly positive experience at Little Steps and with Miss Karen, where our 2-year-old was enrolled in their Spanish immersion program. The environment was warm, welcoming, and clearly designed to support both language development and emotional growth in young children.
One of the highlights for us was how much Spanish our child picked up in such a short time — from songs to basic phrases, it was clear the immersion approach really works. Miss Karen was loving and attentive, and we always felt our child was safe, cared for, and encouraged to explore. - Jessamy B.
Karen and team are absolutely incredible, they cared for our now 18 month old for about 5 months and our daughter always came home so happy and so loved. We couldn’t recommend Little Steps enough! - Monica U.
Philosophy
At Little Steps Wonderschool - Spanish Immersion, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by exploring the world around them. It is our goal to provide an environment that helps each child to feel confident and capable. In our program, children will feel empowered to follow their own interests surrounded by nature in a safe and a loving space. that provides unique opportunities to succeed in their coming school years.
We follow a play-based philosophy. We believe that children learn social, cognitive, and emotional skills by acquiring new experiences. We prepare our environment to be responsive to the children in our care, and allow children’s own interests to help facilitate their learning and engagement.
We are a Spanish immersion program – daily care and activities will be provided in Spanish, and children will be encouraged to speak Spanish in return. Learning a second language at a young age encourages your child’s intellectual and social development. As part of our mission, we offer all the necessary resources to help your child grow, learn and thrive.
