Our Teachers
Hello, I am Elena Kovalev, the director and lead teacher of “Fairytale House” Child Care.
I bring to our community an experience working with children from different backgrounds. I have spent 10 years enriching the minds of children in various environments including public schools, after-school programs, camps and daycares.
The big part of my journey that influenced and inspired me to start my program was my role as a youth social worker for families in the transitional living program. I have always dreamt of creating a space where every child is treated with respect, and love and feels just how amazing and valued they are. That is the environment I strive to provide in my Child Care Home every day.
Working with children is not just my job, it is my calling. Their never-ending curiosity, love of life, and unique personalities are a constant source of inspiration for me.
As we start working with your family, please know that I look forward to building a strong connection with your family and helping your little one grow into a brilliant learner and unlock his/her hidden talents.
Testimonials
“Elena possesses a natural gift for working with children. She has an ability to connect with them on their level and create a safe, nurturing space. She fosters a sense of curiosity and wonder in the children under her care, whether her own or someone else’s, encouraging them to explore and learn in a supportive environment.” Josie Sotomayor
“She was an attentive caregiver, giving equal attention to all children present, and made sure to create an engaging and developmentally appropriate environment for the kids. I always knew that my daughter would be safe, cared for, and even loved in Elena’s care. “
Philosophy
Welcome to Elena’s Child Care “Fairytale House”. We are delighted to welcome you to our school family.
Our program follows play and nature based philosophies. We strongly believe in 3 components of children’s well being and education :
-
Health and wholesome nutrition
-
Positive social interaction and development
-
Nature play
We build a strong academic foundation for future education, but also teach important life lessons and skills. Our goal is to provide loving, nurturing environment for all children in our care.
At our school we offer cooking and music classes, we dance and dream and most importantly, we are outside in the nature rain or shine.
Location
We are located in the Anatolia neighborhood in Rancho Cordova, CA 95742. Sunrise Elementary School is a short walk away as well as McGarvey Elementary. We are a few blocks away from both Sunrise Blvd and Douglas Rd, yet in a peaceful, safe and quiet location with an Argonaut neighborhood park right in front of our Child Care.
