Our Teachers

Hello! I am Rosa Padilla, the founder of The House of Little Angels Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I love watching them experience things for the first time and believe in their ability to do things independently with my support. I have 3 years of formal experience working with young children.

We are a family of four. I have two children. My daughter is going to be 12 and my son is 17. I worked with my daughter’s preschool to learn about the most effective ways to support students.

My family is originally from Mexico. We have been living in the United States for 27 years. My goal is to open a program that makes children and their families happy and which encourages them how to practice the skills necessary to succeed in the world.

Philosophy

At The House of Little Angels Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages children with developmentally-appropriate activities and materials. In our program, children will feel empowered to follow their own interests in a safe space.

The House of Little Angels is committed to creating a safe, warm, loving environment for children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, creatively, intellectually, and socially at their own pace. We want to help your child increase their confidence, and self esteem by treating them as unique individuals, and allowing them to express themselves in many ways. We strive to make your child’s time at daycare the best experience it can be for them as well as you, the parents.

We are committed to supporting families by maintaining open communication and encourage parental involvement. Our objective is to care for your child the same way you would.

We develop activities centered on stories, songs, math, fine motor skills, circle time, science, music and arts/crafts. We strive to prepare your children for their early school years by exposing them regularly to letters, numbers, colours, shapes, name recognition, and new vocabulary.

The House of Little Angels Wonderschool is located in a beautiful, charming single family home in the Crocker - Amazon neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and nature area (for discovering nature and science concepts).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At The House of Little Angels Wonderschool, I want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.

About our program

The House of Little Angels is a bilingual program. Students will be taught in both English and Spanish. A bilingual education has a lot of benefits for the development of students.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
