Our Teachers
Hi! I am Galina , the founder of Galinka’s Daycare Wonderschool. I started my own program because when I had my first grandchild, my daughter could not find a quality program. From there, we worked tirelessly to create our program, which is still thriving 19 years later. I am originally from Russia and received my teaching degree there. I love my job!.
We also have two assistant teachers. Both teachers have multiple years of ECE experience and years in other high quality childcare locations.

Philosophy
Galinka’s Wonderschool is dedicated and committed to our children by providing exceptional education and quality child care. It is our philosophy to focus on the needs of the individual child by providing a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure loving environment. It is our belief that a childcare facility should be an extension of each child’s family. We are passionate about education and providing our children with the tools to be successful in life.
Location
Galinka’s Daycare Wonderschool is located in a beautiful, bright single family home in the Outer Sunset neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), manipulatives and math area (for fine motor skills and beginning math concepts), and reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite).
Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!
At Galinka’s Daycare Wonderschool, I want to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore and play.
About our program
++Infant Curriculum (3-12 Months) ++
Infant routines of diapering, feeding, and napping form much of the daily schedule. However even these routine activities provide a healthy dose of core emotional connection interactions with their child care provider. Tickling toes, playing peek-a-boo, and imitating sounds are just a few of the one-on-one exchanges that will occur during these routine parts of your child’s day. In addition, your child will be immersed in a warm, loving environment filled with a variety of stimulating things to manipulate, touch and follow.
++Waddlers Curriculum: (12 - 18 Months)++
This transitional room serves as a stepping stone from our infant program into our toddler program. The children in this program are still mastering walking but it does not stop them from their natural instincts to explore and discover the world around them. An abundance of toys, textures, colors and sounds make this room perfect for the transition into the toddler classroom.
++Toddler Curriculum++
Your toddler has reached an age where mobility allows for more independence and self-exploration. Our toddler rooms are equipped with materials that will foster these two areas as well as their social, cognitive and motor growth. Along with a structured routine, your child will be encouraged to engage in daily art projects for cognitive and sensory growth, books that will encourage early literacy skills and language as well as interact with a teacher that provides comfort, love and emotional support.
++Preschool Curriculum:++
Our preschool curriculum is designed to give our children the foundation they need for their entrance into kindergarten. While social interaction with their peers continues to be a key element in our curriculum, we also focus on pre-kindergarten skills such as early literacy and math skills, letter, shape and number recognition, as well as gross motor and fine motor development.
