Testimonials
“Our 5-yr old loves her School days! Our daughter is naturally cautious, and this has been a great program to challenge her physically, and she has loved it since day 1. She never wants to leave when it’s pick up time! Miss Susan is easy to trust. She creates a warm, welcoming and supportive environment that embraces nature, and empowers students to learn through play and exploration.”
Philosophy
Our goal is to give children the opportunity to experience unstructured, child-inspired play that is 50% inside and 50% outside. As we play and explore the natural wonders of the outdoor world, we also want to give kids opportunity to play inside using Montessori style toys. The children guide their own learning as they choose activities and topics they are interested in while outside. We believe the diversity and richness of sensations and experiences.
We offer a variety of schedules, field trips, and age groups to accommodate all. Our programs are especially designed for Preschoolers, Homeschoolers and School-Aged Children, however we do have an infant program as well. The infant program is from ages 0-24 months.
The Montessori philosophy and practice is to fosters rigorous, self-motivated growth for children and adolescents in all areas of their development, with a goal of nurturing each child’s natural desire for knowledge, understanding, and respect.
Location
We are located in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood. We have schools in the area, conveniently located near our program. We are close to a public park and shopping centers.
About our program
At our school, we teach the concepts of math, science, engineering, art, social sciences and early literacy through our play-based, child-led curriculum. We use the interests and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.
