Our childcare team is committed to providing children with positive experiences through age-appropriate learning activities, play, social interaction, and daily routines. We focus on getting to know each child as an individual and supporting their unique needs, interests, and development.

Our staff continue to build their knowledge of child development, health and safety, guidance, and early childhood education through training and professional development. We believe that ongoing learning helps us provide quality care and better support children and their families.

Philosophy

At Rachel’s Little Peoples Childcare Center, we believe every child is unique and deserves to feel safe, loved, respected, and supported. We provide a warm and welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, explore, and develop at their own pace.

Location

Rachel’s Little Peoples Childcare Center is located in Milwaukee’s 53206 community on the North Side. We are located in a diverse neighborhood and are proud to provide a welcoming childcare environment for local families.

There are several schools in and around the 53206 area, including Auer Avenue School, Keefe Avenue School, Benjamin Franklin School, Hopkins Lloyd Community School, LaFollette School, and Gwen T. Jackson Early Childhood and Elementary School. These schools provide educational opportunities for children and families throughout the community.

Families also have access to nearby parks and recreational spaces, including Moody Park, Lucille Berrien Park, Fondy Park, Franklin Square Playfield, and Columbia Playfield. These community spaces provide opportunities for outdoor recreation, play, and family activities.

The 53206 area is also served by Milwaukee-area public transportation. MCTS bus service is available throughout the community, making it easier for families to travel to childcare, work, school, and other community activities. There are also MCTS stops near major intersections such as Capitol Drive and Teutonia Avenue and Green Bay Avenue and Capitol Drive.

Complete Enrollment Information If a family chooses to enroll, we provide the required enrollment forms and information needed to begin care. Families should provide accurate information about their child, including emergency contacts, health and developmental needs, routines, and authorized individuals.
