Testimonials
“My daughter was 19 months when she started attending Little Lambs Daycare with Ms. Earmie, She quickly adapted to her routine and became friends with the other children. She loves playing outside in the big yard with the cars and slides. There are many learning and developmental toys to choose from during play time. The kids are often making crafts and gifts for holidays and coloring pictures. She is always clean and washed her hands very often and thoroughly. My daughter has been continuously improving in her potty training here. Ms. Earmie always keeps her house very clean and tidy and is located in a safe neighborhood. My daughter enjoys her meals and snacks that are prepared for her and Ms. Earmie accommodated to her dietary restriction of dairy, red meat and pork. As a military family we are constantly moving around, finding a reliable, safe and cleanly provider is important to us and we we’re lucky to have found that here. We were also grateful that we could use Child Care Aware/NACCRRA fee assistance with Ms. Earmie which helped a lot.” - Christina F
“I have known Earmie Washington for about 22 years. She has cared for both of my little brothers and she now cares for my two children. My daughter was 15 months old when she started Little Lambs Daycare. and my son was 5 months. My children are now 3.5 and 18 months. My kids absolutely adore Ms. Earmie. She treats my kids like they are her own and she makes them feel loved. They are always engaged in play activities, crafts, learning development stations, and physical activity. Ms. Earmie is very organized and her home is very clean. She establishes very clear routines and procedures and uses cute songs/poems to remind the kids of how to do things like play, wash their hands, move around safely in the house, and so much more! Their is ample space for the kids to play in the back yard as well as different play-sets and toys for the kids to engage with. My daughter was a very picky eater before coming to Ms. Earmie’s, but the comforting environment and snacks and meals preparted by Ms. Earmie have allowed my daughter to try a variety of foods and enjoy eating with the other kids. My kids are given breakfast, am snack, lunch, pm snack, and a variety of liquids throughout the day to make sure they stay hydrated. I am beyond pleased with the care that Ms. Earmie provides for my children. I not only consider Ms. Earmie my children’s care provider but also a close friend.” - Mallarie R
“My Wife and I have had the great opportunity to place our two children into a home that exemplifies an environment of love and attentive-care: Mrs. Earmie Washington’s Little Lambs Daycare was the answer to our Prayers!!! My first-born child/son, has been attending this “Developmental” Family Daycare Center since 2014(6-months old); I use that term, rather than just daycare; because the knowledge and teaching (Reading/Writing) instilled daily into my son, while attending Little Lambs Daycare, has been a life-changer. Mrs. Washington has given my son a head-start, (no pun-intended) in his development towards his first Big Day of Kindergarten this coming school year…! Update…Before the arrival, our newest-addition to the family; my daughter in 2017 (18-months old), there was no doubt or hesitation about where she was going to be attending for her development; attending since (6-months old). Mrs. Washington exudes all the great characteristics and qualities that any parent/parents would want and need in a Family-oriented Home Daycare Provider. One word to describe Mrs. Washington: Trustworthy!!! Something every parent needs when it comes to our KIDS!!! We are so blessed and grateful for Little Lambs Home Daycare!!! Her home is very clean, organized and just gives you that family oriented atmosphere, from the moment you enter her home. Little Lambs Home Daycare center is huge and spacious with vibrant colors throughout, and different learning and teaching stations for children of varying ages to play and learn. I especially appreciate the safety signs, inspection notifications, and even evacuation signs for kids to follow; as a Security professional, I was very pleased to see these! She provides our kids daily with USDA-approved nutritional meals: breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, pm snack, and will also accommodate any dietary concerns as needed(My son is a very-picky eater). P.S. She also provides treats for kids/parents; when roads/traffic is heavy at pick up time…! Mrs. Washington, has also impressed us with her continued pursuit of academic and professional accomplishments. She has earned her Associate degree in Early Childhood Development from Northern VA Community College, several Early Child developmental accreditations annually, and currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at George Mason University. All the while, providing my children with an environment that allows them to develop and flourish. Attention All Parents…Little Lambs Home Daycare/Mrs. Washington is the BEST CHOICE! THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!” - Nakoa B
Philosophy
I love working with children and guiding them through their various developmental stages. I believe in educating children through hands on experiences by using a developmentally/age appropriate practice (DAP) curriculum. Children learn best using all five senses through play, exploration of their environment and, using their imagination. I provide a loving, caring, learning environment where children can be children.
