Our Teachers

Our staff of nurturing and supportive teachers create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where young children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore. They foster strong, trusting relationships with their students, offering guidance, encouragement, and emotional support as children navigate their early learning experiences.

Our teachers embrace play as the foundation of early childhood education, recognizing its vital role in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Through carefully designed activities and open-ended exploration, they provide opportunities for children to develop problem-solving skills while fostering creativity, collaboration, and independence. Our teachers act as facilitators, observing children’s interests and extending their learning through engaging, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and joy.

Philosophy

Our philosophy is centered on the belief that young children learn best through active, hands-on experiences in a joyful and engaging environment. This approach values play as the primary way children develop critical cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. Using a combination of teacher-guided and student-selected activities, play-based learning encourages curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving through meaningful, classroom activities.

Our teachers serve as facilitators, carefully designing environments that promote discovery and creativity. They provide open-ended materials, encourage imaginative play, and support children’s natural interests, helping them make connections and build foundational skills in language, math, science, and social interactions. Through both guided and free play, children develop independence, collaboration, critical thinking, and resilience—key abilities that lay the groundwork for future academic success.

We embrace the idea that learning should be joyful, experiential, and developmentally appropriate, fostering a lifelong love of learning while nurturing each child’s unique growth and potential.

Location

Nestled in the Broad Run Farms neighborhood, Galilee Christian School is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Route 7 but right in the midst of the surrounding Countryside and Cascades communities. Our school is easily accessible from Algonkian Parkway or from westbound Route 7. The church facility provides us with large classrooms, a full-size gym, and a spacious playground.
