Jaime G ★★★★★ 05/20/2020 OMG my 3 year old son has been at Laugh & Learn for almost two years and it has been the best experience!
Ms. Jeronda & Ms. Johnny is the best! My son is always excited to go & have been such a great help. They helped my son learn how to count & even helped tremendously on our potty training journey. They are always flourishing positive vibes & are amazing. They are preparing my son for the future in magical ways.
I remember finding out about them when my son just turned 2 and was nervous about childcare. They completely blew me away with their outstanding childcare & love for my child. Best decision ever.
Kristie M ★★★★★ 05/07/2020 My two children have been at Laugh N’ Learn since they opened. We absolutely LOVE Ms. Rhonda & Ms. Knox! When my daughter transitioned into kindergarten, they were imperative to making sure her next move went smoothly. My son had been prepared to start kindergarten next year. I recommended them every chance I get!
Philosophy
The family daycare home provides a developmentally based program in an environment designed especially for young children. We work to develop caring, respectful, and responsive relationships with children from infancy through preschool by partnering with families to support a child’s growth and development. Respect for each child’s individualized pattern and timing of growth, as well as individual personality, learning style, interests, culture, logic and family background are central to the fabric of daily interactions and the direction of the curriculum follows. We support each child’s disposition to learn while (1) facilitating it’s learning and (2) fostering competencies in all domains, including intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. We value the interaction between the individual and the environment, seeing it as the basis for more complex learning and growth. Children come to own a newfound understanding and knowledge when it is integrated into their daily experiences and existing paradigms in active and meaningful ways. This social constructivist philosophy forms the basis for our curriculum and our emphasis on all aspects of the environment.
The schedule and space are structured to allow children to pace themselves and select activities based on their individual needs. Knowledge is not given to children; they learn through play and meaningful interactions with materials and people. This means that each child process, experiences uniquely.
