Our Teachers

I have been in the childcare field since 2000. After working for so many years in different industries, this was the year when I discovered my passion and love for children. My journey to taking classes in child development was not easy. I overcame many challenges with God’s provision and eventually achieved Montessori certification. In 2018, I founded a reading tutoring service. It is called Journey To Reading. This company aims to teach children as early as they can speak. During the pandemic, it was especially difficult for children. I decided to give free tutoring in my neighbors’ community to teach them to read while we were required to stay home. Before that, I volunteered for a few years at my church for the kids’ ministry to provide safety and fun for children while their parents attended the service. At JTR Learning Montessori, I aim to provide a quality, safe, and fun environment to my community’s children while they explore, discover, learn, grow, and have fun. In my program, children will have a rich experience and the opportunity to explore and discover while having fun learning new skills touching on the areas of STEAM Montessori-inspired. The children will also develop early reading skills. This is an essential skill that the program focuses on.

Philosophy

Children should be free to move around as they explore their environment. The environment must provide safety and offer various materials for them to develop new skills. The materials are didactic and prepared to stimulate all five senses of the whole child. In this way, the “directress” can observe the movement and what interests the child ready to learn a new skill. This way, the “Directress” or teacher can direct the child to hone in on the child’s God’s God-given gift. It is then a child reaches a happy state. A happy state is when a child is content with developing skills and creating work independently. The program also focuses on developing a child’s reading skills. It is an essential fundamental skill your child will take with him/her as your child progresses to the next level of their education.
