Our Purpose and Philosophy

Parents and teachers are becoming increasingly aware ofthe important of early Pfuture development. The education program of Bear Creek Children’s Academy is based on the current child’s growth and development patterns. In our program, emphasis is placed on the needs of the individual child. Each child is helped to experience success at an appropriate level of maturity, and is given many opportunities to learn and grown in new activities and experiences. Our beliefs for our program include:

  1. Each child is unique and his/her strengths and weaknesses must be recognized. Therefore, the instruction should be individualized and based on the child’s level, learming style and interests.
  2. The school must educate the whole child, to provide for emotional and social growth, to develop a feeling of self-worth, to provide a child-oriented curriculum, to develop creativity and independence and to foster the child’s intellectual and physical growth.
  3. Children are naturally curious and seek to explore and learn about the environment.
  4. Children learn best through actual experience and active involvement in an accepting and non-threatening environment.

About our program

About Us At Bear Creek Children’s Center, we believe that early childhood is a time of incredible growth, discovery, and potential. Our mission is to nurture the whole child—emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically—by creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

We understand that each child is unique, with individual strengths, needs, and learning styles. That’s why our approach is deeply personalized: our educators tailor instruction and activities to support every child at their own level, encouraging confidence and a love of learning.

Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that children learn best through hands-on experiences and active exploration. We provide opportunities for children to play, create, ask questions, and solve problems in a warm, supportive atmosphere where they feel seen and valued.

At Bear Creek, our goal is to help children grow into confident, independent thinkers with a strong sense of self-worth. We foster curiosity, creativity, and meaningful relationships—setting the foundation for a lifelong journey of learning and success.

Rhythm of the Day

  • Toddlers
The toddler program utilizes the curriculum of monthly themes through a multi-sensory approach. Visual stimuli as well as a multitude of auditory experiences through stores, fingerplays, flannel stories and music are presented to the toddlers.
  • Threes
Further developing socialization and verbal skills through circle time discussions. Open communication is encouraged during play and art activities as well. Small motor skill begins to develop more at this time.
  • Pre-Kindergarten
Socialization and verbal skills are expanded upon through discussions of weekly themes and are more interactive than in previous classes. The pre-kindergarten child furthers their knowledge of the alphabet through the learning of letter sounds as well as the letter names.
