Our Teachers
Hello! I am Gloria Archibong, the founder of Princess Gloria’s Wonderschool. I’m a native of Nigeria. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 34 years of experience working with young children and I speak French fluently.
Philosophy
At Princess Gloria Wonderschool, we believe children learn best through meaningful play. Our play-based, child-centered program reflects the integration of physical, cognitive, social, emotional, language, self-help and aesthetic areas for the total development of the child. Meaningful play encourages curiosity, discovery, and problem solving, which allows individual growth and development of a positive self-image.
We take care to build a community of learners. Every day we come together for circle time, where we have a chance to connect, talk about the day, sing, dance, and work on our social-emotional skills. Circle time provides an opportunity for us to build communication skills, practice turn-taking, express ourselves, and be members of the group.
Location
Princess Gloria’s Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, warm single family home in the Ridge Oak Golf Course neighborhood.
Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my backyard. We believe that connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.
At Princess Gloria’s Wonderschool, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.
About our program
We value child-directed learning. Children love their days spent at Princess Gloria’s because there is so much choice in how they spend their time. Whether it’s our outdoor space, music, art, or reading, there is always something new to explore. Princess Gloria’s Wonderschool combines daily learning activities that allow the imagination of children to soar. Through adventure and exploration your child will enjoy discovering the world around them.
We recognize that parents are the child’s first teachers. We believe that children learn best when parents are involved in their educational program. The primary bridge between home and school is the involvement of family and community. As a member of Princess Gloria’s family, you’re joining our community full time, not just 9-5. We look forward to partnering with you in supporting your child’s development.
