Our Teachers

Our Teacher has over ten years experience in education, including five years with infants through preschool age. She is currently being trained in Montessori Philosophy and is in a homeschool group inspired by Waldorf Philosophy. She has a Bachelors degree from UNT and Masters degree from the University of Dallas. Her SBEC certifications include: ESL Generalist (EC-4) and Generalist (EC-6). She is passionate about creating a nurturing, calm, and fun environment for her children and students, and believes in the necessity of having a small ratio of 4:1.

Philosophy

We believe childhood is sacred and must be protected and enjoyed. Children in our program work and play in an orderly environment rich in opportunities to do art, crafts, and build. We bake weekly and visit the arboretum daily. Outdoor play is essential for children’s growth and healthy sleep patterns, so we make sure to enjoy it in all types of weather.

Location

Located in East Dallas area and walking distance to the arboretum.

About our program

Our program is influenced by several educational philosophies, as we have found meaning and good in many of them. We center activities around the home and have baking days, art days, and practical life activities daily. We encourage children to be involved in all aspects of creating and maintaining the environment. Our daily rhythm offers ample time for play and daily visits to the arboretum.
