Our Teachers

Veronica Harts, Director of B&L Family Care Veronica has 3 children and 7 grandchildren, and I love spending time with them. I love reading the Bible and listening to gospel music. I attended L G Pinkston and graduated in 1984. I attended both SMU and Eastfield College for a year in Early Childhood Education. I graduated from Remington College with an Associated Degree in Criminal Justice. I also been here at Handprints Child Care for 14 Years. And before that it was call Happiness House and I work for them for 12 years, so I’ve been in the same building for 26 years. I worked at a Mother’s Day Out Program at Highland Park Church. I taught at DISD School for 4 years as a Pre-K teacher for 4 years and now I’m the Director of Handprints Child Care been in this position for 5 years.

Philosophy

B&L Family Care goal is to provide all of the children in my care a clean and safe environment where they can play and learn. Also, learn to respect self and others and the environment will be emphasized. B&L Family Care activities will include the use of reading times, art, and craft, musical activities and outdoor play and free play.

Location

B&L Family Care is off of N Buckner and John West we’re locate in the Pleasant Grove area. With easy access to Dart Transit and a shopping center 0.7 miles with serves store. The closes freeway is highway 80 and highway 30.

About our program

B&L Family Care is a play-based school that emphasizes exploration hand on learning play sensory activities and social experience as the most important learning experience of early childhood. B&L Family Care will build confidence and creativity and a love for school while children learn about a wide variety of things in an age-appropriate way.
