Brittany Tarton, Director Welcome to our daycare center! My name is Brittany, and I am the proud owner and director. My journey into early childhood education began over a decade ago. With 12 years of hands-on experience as a childcare provider, I have had the privilege of nurturing and guiding hundreds of children through their most formative years. My passion for creating a safe, healthy, and enriching environment stems from a deep belief that every child deserves a strong foundation for lifelong learning. This belief drives our center’s philosophy of [Insert your philosophy here, e.g., play-based learning, developmental approach].
Philosophy
At Children World Daycare, our philosophy is built on two core pillars: providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive emotionally and physically, and fostering a deep sense of curiosity and love for learning through hands-on exploration. We believe that children learn best when they feel secure, valued, and healthy.
- A Foundation of Health and Safety Drawing upon my 12 years of experience and my background as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), health and safety are paramount in our center. Wellness Focus: We maintain rigorous cleaning protocols and focus on healthy habits, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment daily. Preparedness: My CMA certification means that we are uniquely prepared for everyday health needs and emergency situations, providing peace of mind for parents. Nurturing Environment: We prioritize emotional well-being, creating a warm, supportive atmosphere where children feel comfortable exploring and expressing themselves.
- Our Program Style: Play-Based Learning & Curriculum We follow a developmental, play-based learning style. This approach recognizes that play is a child’s natural language for understanding the world. Learning Through Play: Children engage in hands-on activities, dramatic play, art, and sensory exploration. These activities are not just fun; they are carefully designed to develop critical thinking, social skills, and problem-solving abilities. Emergent Curriculum: We incorporate an emergent curriculum, which means our teachers observe the children’s interests and build lessons and projects around those interests. If the children are fascinated by construction trucks one week, we might turn it into a multi-day lesson on engineering, movement, and community helpers. School Readiness: While we emphasize play, we also integrate foundational literacy and numeracy skills in engaging ways, ensuring that all our preschoolers are well-prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
- Core Values We Share Respect: We foster an environment of mutual respect for every child, family, and staff member, embracing diversity and inclusion. Curiosity: We encourage children to ask questions, experiment, and discover the joy of learning independently. Partnership: We view parents as essential partners in their child’s education. We maintain open lines of communication and value your input in your child’s journey. In summary, we offer a program where children are safe, healthy, happy, and intellectually engaged.
