Our Teachers

Hello Families, my name is Amy, and I warmly welcome you to Under a Shady Tree Daycare and Early Learning Center. My educational background and passion are dedicated to offering our children the best learning opportunities to shape them into confident, empowered, and joyful individuals. It is my hope to instill in our future leaders the necessary skills, coping strategies, and critical thinking abilities required to successfully navigate the world.

For over 8 years I have worked in early education as a Register Behavioral Therapist. Providing early intervention and functional education for infants, toddlers, and school age children. I’m passionate about serving families in my community and welcome all children. I’m trained in Applied Behavior therapies and Naturalistic environment teaching (NET) a teaching method that uses a child’s natural environment to help them learn new skills. It’s a personalized, evidence-based approach.

Each child is unique, and this is a crucial consideration in early education. No single program, theory, or philosophy can cater to the needs of ALL children.

Here at Under a Shady Tree, we value diversity, neurodiversity, love, laughter, patience, exploration, and fun. We employ a blend of the best practices to furnish each child with a wonderful educational journey.
