Our Teachers

Our teachers are experienced in childcare, with roughly 5 years of experience with in-home and center based care. Any staff that comes in as a sub or helper also has formidable experience and has been cleared through the Oregon Central Background Registry. Our staff has a communal mindset and we keep up with each other to stay on the same page as to what’s best for students and staff of Punkin’s Place Childcare. Trainings, team building and continuing education are all priorities for staff of PPC so that we can continue to provide care for young minds in an environment set up for healthy development.

Philosophy

At Punkin’s Place Childcare, we strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Our team of experienced and innovative teachers do this by creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.

Location

Located in the heart of Tillamook, close to several local parks and only blocks away from our local library and YMCA. Living in a quiet neighborhood with mindful and respectful neighbors, and close to Tillamook Hospital for quick responses in any emergency. The home is located on a corner block giving us lots of room to run and play outside within the confines of our 6ft Cedar fence, keeping your child safe and secure from any passing hazards.

About our program

Our program is special because we believe in a strong family-caregiver relationship. Daily check-ins at drop off and pick up are essential to providing the best care for infants and toddlers. Without being intrusive, we want to be on the same page as parents as far as their desires for their children, and keep those wants coinciding with the needs of the child.
