Testimonials

“When we moved to Eugene a little under two years ago, I interviewed with Mashaeyla for her providing childcare services for my then 12 month old. As soon as I met her, I knew I was with the right facility. She has been warm, inviting, understanding, caring and compassionate with both my child and our family. Mashaeyla knew my daughter’s personal needs and understood her eccentric personality, which means a lot to us. My daughter spends most her day in childcare, and I can go to work with peace of mind knowing that she is being loved and cared for at school the same way she would be at home. I absolutely adore Mashaeyla and the high level of care and values she has set for herself, her facility, and her staff.”

“Our family is impatiently waiting for this. The love and individual care you show each child and their family is what a parents dreams are made of.”

Philosophy

Collaborative Problem Solving® (CPS), developed at Massachusetts General Hospital, is an evidence-based, trauma-informed practice proven to reduce challenging behavior, teach kids the skills they lack, and build relationships with adults. What is Collaborative Problem Solving? Kids with challenging behavior are tragically misunderstood and mistreated. Rewards and punishments don’t work and often make things worse. Thankfully, there’s another way. But it requires a big shift in mindset. Helping kids with challenging behavior requires understanding why they struggle in the first place. But what if everything we thought was true about challenging behavior was actually wrong? Our Collaborative Problem Solving approach recognizes what research has pointed to for years – that kids with challenging behavior are already trying hard. They don’t lack the will to behave well. They lack the skills to behave well.
