Our Teachers

ABOUT MISS DUSTY: Hi, I was born and raised in Northern Idaho. I grew up with so many kids around my neighborhood as well as having a very large family on both sides living close to me. I loved to babysit all my siblings and cousins since I was 9 years old. My grandparents and aunts also fostered children growing up. Having kids of my own in the future when I got older was always an excitement in my life. I moved to Nevada in 2000 where I graduated in 2004 working as an administrative office personnel for Les Schwab for 10 years. During that time, I moved to Oregon in 2017, also had 3 wonderful boys of my own. I finally made a life changing career or calling I say and started my business at home to be a child care provider and preschool teacher for many ages from infant to school age children. It is my passion and enjoy all their little growing hearts and minds. During my off-time I enjoy indoor board games with the family, movie nights, scrap booking, and lots of outdoor adventures from kayaking, park days, camping, hiking, road trips to the coast or other states to visit.

Miss Dusty is communicative and responsive. Always looking for teaching moments and acknowledging individual strengths. We feel so comfortable that our child receives the absolute best care when she’s with Miss Dusty. If I could give more stars, I would.

Miss Dusty is wonderful with our daughter. She requires some extra patience and Miss Dusty never seems to run out! Miss Dusty also fosters her need to learn by challenging her to write and identify letters. We are so happy we found Miss Dusty’s Daycare.

Miss Dusty is amazing! I don't know what I would do without her. She truly loves my babies.

Philosophy

At Miss Dusty’s there are indoor and outdoor activities to meet your littles needs. These areas are for activities with blocks, toys, arts and crafts or just to have a moment to read a book. An area if they need a little quiet time for a nap. The outdoor area features a large fenced in space to use play structures and sometimes we use the park within walking distance. We encourage lots of outdoor learning with some art, science, exercise, and even a snack or lunch outside. I spend quality time if parents need, with potty training. It’s a big gold star deal when they have no accidents and parents are at ease with a big milestone accomplished!

About our program

Where your bright young star is going to shine. My mission is to empower your child’s independence to start growing into their individual selves and ready themselves as they move up in the big world of schooling. It is such a blessing to see all of the children bloom with all of their knowledge. I do this by focusing on and respecting their process to help them along the way. Learning is a natural process, and as they are ready to engage in language, words, sign language, potty training, shapes, colors, numbers, etc. It is important to me that in this environment your child will feel safe and find themselves surrounded by care, ready to learn, and have fun everyday!
