Our staff has over 30+ years of educational experience from early education to secondary education.

Carrie Osmundson, Provider

Carrie has over 15+ years of childcare and educational experience in Central Oregon. She is a former Chair of the Policy Council for Head Start and had been active in the Head Start Program for NeighborImpact for over 5 years. She believes that a play-based environment will prepare children to become more successful as they enter into school and become more social as they grow.

Ron Osmundson, Substitute Provider

Ron has over 15+ years of early education training, coaching and educational experience. He is deeply involved in the community as a Board Director of NeighborImpact. Ron holds an Associates Degree in Early Education from Klamath Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from the Oregon Institute of Technology.

Philosophy

At Care Bears Lil’ Munchkin Daycare, we believe in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for your child. Led by our provider, Carrie Osmundson, who cherishes the joy of play and learning, we offer a home-like setting with enriching activities like arts and crafts, sensory play, and outdoor adventures with our play structures. Our goal is to ensure a stress-free and fun experience for your child, promoting a “happy baby or kid, happy day” mantra. We emphasize play-based learning, allowing children to develop at their own pace, interact with peers, and build essential social skills for their growth. Join us on this journey of fostering lasting relationships and positive experiences for your family.

Location

Our location is located in a quiet Southwest Redmond neighborhood. We are located close to Highway 97 for easy access to northbound and southbound travel and the airport. We are close to Sage Elementary School (>1 mi) and Obsidian Middle School.

About our program

We encourage children to be themselves and to learn to grow. We like to celebrate birthdays and be able to learn at their own pace. We have 2 outdoor play areas which children have access to that is fully fenced. We have fun days where we can dress up as a character that your child likes or have “hat day”. We love Taco Tuesdays and celebrating holidays like Hamburger Day to festive days like the 4th of July. We encourage sitting at the table to eat and use utensils. Some days, we will do crafts, ABCs of the day, and Number of the Day.

PROCESS FOR ADMISSION

Thank you for choosing Care Bears Lil’ Munchkin Daycare for your childcare needs! We are excited to care for your child here and look forward to a rewarding and lasting relationship with your child and family.

 Contact Care Bears Daycare for availability.  Set up interview and site tour of our facility with provider and discuss any questions.  Complete Child Enrollment Application Form and return on first day of service with payment.

After the first day, you will receive the Parent Handbook and Parent-Provider Contract in the next few days to review and complete.
