My son Cory and I operate a small family home childcare and I am different than a Daycare Center because the number of children that are enrolled is limited to 12 total children. By staying small, I have the ability to provide the quality care and nurturing atmosphere that your child deserves, which makes my home daycare a premium service. The Little’s Child Care Center is not a preschool, but I do try to integrate a theme based preschool program/curriculum. Children participate in a full range of activities such as free play, outside play, stories, dramatic play, creative arts, crafts, music, and much more. As a family childcare provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy learning environment for each child that will stimulate their physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth at their own pace. I offer loving care that focuses on each child as a unique and wonderful individual and in doing so, builds self-esteem and respect for others. As your partner in caring for your child, my interaction with you, the parent, is as important as my interaction with your child. Please come to me with any concerns or questions you may have.

Philosophy
At The Little’s Child Care Center we believe that offering a long term, dependable child care service brings security and stability to working families in our community. We recognize that children develop differently and at their own pace from each other. Our program is flexible, which allows us to focus on the individuality of each child. We believe in a good social foundation, allowing children to learn to express their feelings and like themselves for who they are, which will help them become more confidant and successful in life. We recognize that providing a mixed aged environment provides many different benefits to the children in our care. Children can play various roles such as the oldest or youngest. Younger children are exposed to more complex play and advanced language by observing and imitating older children. Older children have an opportunity to lead and nurture younger children, which in turn builds leadership skills, self-esteem and social development. At The Littles Childcare, we promote becoming caring, active members in our community through participating in local opportunities for learning. We believe the relationship between parent and caregiver is very special; we encourage you to visit our childcare. We offer an open-door policy to the families in our care. I believe a quality provider never stops learning, never accepts that there is no room for improvement.
Every day we learn through experience, but it is also our responsibility to stay current on issues relating child care and child development, by attending conferences, joining groups that support child care, etc..
