Philosophy
Leah Scott Daycare Philosophy
My philosophy as a teacher and daycare provider is to support all the children and to meet them at their own level. I will do this by being attentive to their needs as individuals. I will get to know each child, I will use individual as well as group teaching to meet the needs of each child. I will help guide them to the next level of learning while showing them love and guidance. I have always felt if you are present and engage the rest will come.
My goal as a teacher and daycare provider is to always provide a safe space, to engage with the children and promote a love for learning along with making them feel loved and special. My hope as a teacher is to reach as many children as possible and to be their hero. I will let them know that they are important, I will teach them what they have to say matters! I want children to believe in themselves as much as I believe in them.
Inclusion is the heart of my program; no child shall be excluded from any activities. If accommodations need to be made to make sure all can participate that is what will happen.
Family input is important to me. I want to here from my families whether it is good or bad, I always want to be improving my program.
Your children will spend a lot of time with me, we become family. I will love your children with no exceptions. I will respect parents and their guidance with their children. Watching your children grow and sharing their accomplishments fills my heart with joy, let’s celebrate them together.
About our program
I feel my program is special as it is small and we become family. Your children mean the world to me and I love each child I get the chance to care for. My families become my extended family. Children are my world and the humans I get along best with!
