Our Teachers

My name is Leah, I have been taking care of children in my home since 2004. I am a wife, a mother of 3, and a Meemaw to an awesome grandson. I am seeking my degree in early childhood education to be able to offer a great preschool program to my littles!

Leah is amazing with our kiddos. Our oldest has been with her almost 4 years and our youngest a couple months. She does great in all aspects including, attention, play, meals and their overall wellbeing. She loves every child that is there. The child knows it and the parents do too. Everyone needs a Leah in their life!

Leah is amazing!! She has an amazing space but it’s the interactions with the kids that’s the best. Every child there absolutely loves her and she takes the best care of them. Ask any of them, “no one does it like Leah does.”

Leah is fabulous. It is clear she takes the time with each child with the relationship they build and how much they love her. She provides a clear schedule, structure and expectations which children need. We wouldn't know what to do without our Leah.

Leah is amazing and we're lucky to have her!

Philosophy

Leah Scott Daycare Philosophy

My philosophy as a teacher and daycare provider is to support all the children and to meet them at their own level. I will do this by being attentive to their needs as individuals. I will get to know each child, I will use individual as well as group teaching to meet the needs of each child. I will help guide them to the next level of learning while showing them love and guidance. I have always felt if you are present and engage the rest will come.

My goal as a teacher and daycare provider is to always provide a safe space, to engage with the children and promote a love for learning along with making them feel loved and special. My hope as a teacher is to reach as many children as possible and to be their hero. I will let them know that they are important, I will teach them what they have to say matters! I want children to believe in themselves as much as I believe in them.

Inclusion is the heart of my program; no child shall be excluded from any activities. If accommodations need to be made to make sure all can participate that is what will happen.

Family input is important to me. I want to here from my families whether it is good or bad, I always want to be improving my program.

Your children will spend a lot of time with me, we become family. I will love your children with no exceptions. I will respect parents and their guidance with their children. Watching your children grow and sharing their accomplishments fills my heart with joy, let’s celebrate them together.

About our program

I feel my program is special as it is small and we become family. Your children mean the world to me and I love each child I get the chance to care for. My families become my extended family. Children are my world and the humans I get along best with!
