Philosophy
At Astoria STEM Academy, we embrace a novel learning environment with a focus on experiential learning. Our weekly programs incorporate high-dosage tutoring and hands-on activities, ensuring that children retain material best. Our curriculum is based on the STREAM curriculum developed by Dr. Erin J. Engelson and aligned with Next Generation Science Standards that support Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Class sizes are limited to provide personalized attention to each child.
