Philosophy

At Rose Petals Wonderschool, we believe that children should learn through play. If I were to describe my program to you, I’d say we are a place where kids are encouraged to be spontaneous. We make it possible for kids to discover every day.

As a Spanish immersion program with a high adult:child ratio, we make sure that your child is having full conversations in Spanish each day!

Location

Rose Petals Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, warm apartment in the Washington Heights neighborhood. We are blocks away from Yeshiva University, New York-Presbyterian / Columbia University Hospital, and the Alexander Hamilton Bridge. We are also one block from the 1 Line at the 181st St. stop.

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

About our program

We’re a Spanish immersion program. Children will have the opportunity to be immersed in Spanish learning environment at my program. This means that here at Rose Petals Wonderschool, we allow children to develop their Spanish skills through a playful, loving and interactive environment.

Spontaneous free play is a way for children to grow socially and emotionally. My program is set up so that children have strong relationships with the staff and also with other children in the program. By giving them the choice of playing with different materials, they are able to think independently and teach themselves how to be curious and entertain themselves.

Love and confidence. These are two very important ingredients of my program! When children walk into my program, I greet them with warmth and positivity. I believe that modeling this behavior is what makes them excited about being in my program and engaged in all of the activities and play that we do here.
