Our Teachers

Hello! I am Beridania Recio, the founder of Bello Amanacer Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I have 40 years of experience working with young children.

Every day, I am excited to welcome my students to my home because I wish to help the future generation grow and succeed. I moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic, where I used to work at a school.

Philosophy

At Bello Amanecer, our goal is to educate the future leaders of our community with respect and love. We guide students so that they learn to communicate and work well with others.

Here are three things you should know about my program:

We’re a Spanish immersion program. Immersion provides students with a chance to dive deeply into a language and culture.  They’ll spend the day having rich conversations in one language.

Kids come first. We want to make sure that we’re giving the children the attention and affection they deserve at all times.

We believe in the power of play. Kids learn through play. We have learning centers (think: dramatic play, blocks, and art). We believe it’s important for children to have the space to discover their interests and curiosities, be creative and move around. We also sing and dance (and we have so much fun!).

Location

Bello Amanacer Wonderschool is located in a warm, welcoming apartment in the Washington Heights neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at mix of both my private yard and local parks and playgrounds. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Bello Amanacer Wonderschool, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.

About our program

We give our children the respect and love they need to grow and develop. We love to sing and dance together.
