Our Teachers

Hello! I am Digna, and I am the provider here at Digna’s Group Daycare & Wonderschool. I am passionate about childcare because when I was a child, I was quiet and don’t think I got the attention I would have liked. I believe in-home childcare means we can meet the needs of all kids - including kids like me! I raised my own family and am a proud grandparent, which was what inspired me to open my own childcare - it has been open since February of 2019!

Philosophy

Here at Digna’s Group Daycare & Wonderschool, we believe that having a play-based philosophy helps students learn and grow when you have lots of positive interactions with them. Children learn when you teach them directly, and they learn more when they receive a lot of attention from the adults that are taking care of them. We want to give them a place that makes them happy and feel loved!

Location

Our program is located in a safe apartment complex where we are able to buzz families in for pick-up and drop-off. We are located conveniently between the Hunts Point Ave and Longwood Ave stops on the 6 train and accessible to the Simpson St 2 and 5 lines. Outside time comes through walks and trips to a close by park!

About our program

**We choose developmentally appropriate activities for the children. **Kids love to paint, color, and play with manipulatives at the table during the day. We have a wide selection of materials that we use each day.

**I believe that in-home childcare gives the most loving approach to working with kids. **This is a loving space where your child is cared for and we really get to know them - and you! You will become part of our family, and often, we are part of yours!

**This is a Spanish immersion program. **Your child will be hearing Spanish for the entire time they’re here. This will help them build a strong vocabulary and leave my program able to understand and speak the language.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application! Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
