Our Teachers

Hello! I am Angelica Pichardo, the founder of AG Happy Angels Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I have 18 years of experience working with young children and prior to opening my own daycare, I worked at another in-home licensed daycare! I am so excited to now have my own space to care for children and watch them grow.

Philosophy

At AG Happy Angels Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that helps each child to feel confident and capable. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learnings.

We’re super hands-on. I believe that kids learn best by doing things that involves them playing independently. We allow students to experiment with what works for them and learn from their mistakes. For example, if we’re eating lunch together, children will learn how to use their own plates and cups over time and build independence.

Location

AG Happy Angels Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, bright apartment in the Bronx. We are less than 5 minutes away from the Fordham Road stations on the 4 and the B/D trains!

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include block area (for gross motor skills and problem solving), reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), and art area (for expressing emotions and ideas).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at a local park or playground. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.

At AG Happy Angels Wonderschool, I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program!

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
