Our Teachers

Sue Wolcott-Whitten, Executive Director Sue graduated from University of Phoenix with a degree in Human Services Management. She also has a certificate from University of Nevada Reno in Human Resources Management.

Sue has completed her CDA and continues to educate herself in Child Development as well as new and innovative ways to teach children.

Sue is a published author and enjoys writing. She is working on her third book in her series. In her spare time she loves painting, singing and playing her guitar. What truly makes her happy are her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Brandi Russell, teacher Brandi is new to Saving Grace Academy, but a very welcomed addition to our teaching staff. She did take early childhood development classes in college, but did not receive a degree. She loves children and has brought a different perspective to our facility.

Pastor Pam Plaisted, teacher Pam is a Pastor, business woman, and substitute teacher for WCSD. Pam came to us as a volunteer on Wednesdays. She started off reading to the children and brought science experiments for them to try. She then became a teacher over a year ago and has been a great asset to this facility. Although she has two jobs already, she continues to amaze me at her ability to keep going and guiding the children towards independence.

Philosophy

At our Christian non-profit early childcare facility, we prioritize the safety and well-being of your child above all else. Rooted in our Christian values, the Bible is an integral part of daily teachings. Through the Abeka academic curriculum, which incorporates puppets, visual aids, music, and life skills, we aim to instill a love for self and others in your children. Our focus on Language Development, Skills Development, Phonics, and numbers concepts, with weekly developmental goals, ensures that your child is equipped with essential knowledge for their educational journey. Our ultimate goal is to create a positive and engaging learning environment, fostering curiosity and excitement in discovering new things.

About our program

At Saving Grace Academy we teach Developmental skills, Language development, Phonics, and Numbers and concepts. We use the Abeka academic and Bible curriculum. All our children will learn a little sign language and Spanish. We have been awarded two years in a row as The best of 2022 / 2023 Early Childhood Education. We got the Business Hall of Fame Award as well. We love what we do and love the children who are entrusted to us. We believe that all children are unique and have something important to contribute if we will only listen.
