Philosophy
At Mi Casita Bilingual childcare , we follow the Play-Based curriculum philosophy, which is a non-academic approach (with some exceptions) to developing skills designed to provide a firm foundation for later academic success. We strive to provide a nurturing environment in which your child will feel comfortable to explore, learn, and play in both English and Spanish. Your child will develop feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem. On any given day, we enjoy art, storytelling, movement, and local excursions to experience the world around us. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through play, which fosters lifelong creativity and intellectual curiosity. Also, our goal is to have the children in our care learn a second language, Spanish.
Location
Mi Casita Bilingual Program is located in a single-family home in the city of Reno. It’s close to the freeway for easy access. Our space has been thoughtfully designed to provide a safe and fun learning environment for your children. We have plenty of space for children to engage in learning and exploring, arts and craft time, and provide supervised outdoor play time in our beautiful backyard.
We would love for you to come see our beautiful space for yourself! Please reach out and schedule a tour. We look forward to welcoming you and your child!
About our program
We are a small bilingual program / child care. We focus on developing each child’s needs as they achieve their milestones at their own pace. We promote their growth in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through PLAY! and some structured time with the teachers.
