Bethany Willis, Teacher and Director
Bethany has loved working with and teaching children ever since she was a young girl. Although she ventured away from her calling during her undergrad years, she remembered what her true passion is while tutoring children abroad. Over the years, she has taught and worked with children aged six weeks to twelve years old. In 2018, Bethany decided to earn her Masters in Early Childhood Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and graduated in December of 2022. For years, Bethany has known that she wanted her own childcare/learning center, and that desire only grew after having her son in 2019. As a mother and educator, Bethany understands the importance of early learning and strives to provide an inclusive, encouraging and safe environment, where students are able to flourish in every way.
Philosophy
At Young and Bright Learning Academy, we believe every child is capable of being their best self and reaching every milestone. We strive to provide each child with a learning experience that fosters respect, individuality and that provides a solid foundation for their future education, health and behavior. YBLA believes children do their best through hands on experiences and play-based learning. Children naturally learn through play and we believe that learning should be fun and child directed. Teachers take an active role as intentional planners, observers, and guides, while students take the lead. Lessons are based on children’s interests and teachers are encouraged to tailor them in ways that better suites each student’s needs.
