Hi, I’m Ms. Karen, the owner and primary caregiver at Safe Hands Childcare. As a mom of two with years of experience caring for children, I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your little one. I created Safe Hands to provide the same kind of love, patience, and care I would want for my own children.

I am CPR and First Aid certified and hold a bachelor’s degree in business. I provide care in both English and Spanish and keep my group small, so every child feels safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home.

At Safe Hands Childcare, I believe childhood should be a time to play, explore, make friends, and simply enjoy being a kid.

My philosophy is centered around providing a safe, loving, comfortable, and home-like environment where every child feels welcomed and cared for. By keeping our group small with only four children, I am able to provide more individual attention and get to know each child’s personality, needs, and routine.

I believe children naturally learn through everyday experiences, play, conversations, creativity, and interactions with others. Rather than following a formal preschool curriculum, our days include free play, outdoor play, arts and crafts, music, books, age-appropriate activities, meals, rest, and plenty of opportunities for children to socialize and have fun.

Safe Hands also provides a natural English and Spanish bilingual environment, allowing children to hear and experience both languages as part of everyday life without formal lessons.

Most importantly, my goal is for parents to feel confident going to work knowing their child is safe, cared for and valued.

Safe Hands Childcare is my small, home-based childcare program offering dependable full-day care for children ages 2–5. I keep my group small with only four children, allowing me to provide a comfortable, family-like environment where children can relax, play, and simply enjoy being kids.

Our days include indoor and outdoor play, crafts, music, story time, meals, snacks, and rest time. English and Spanish are naturally part of our everyday environment, and I love making childhood special by celebrating birthdays, holidays, and seasonal occasions with fun activities and treats.

I believe in open communication with families and providing a safe, loving, and welcoming environment where little ones can enjoy their day while parents have peace of mind.

3. Apply for Enrollment

After your tour, if you would like your child to join Safe Hands, you can submit an enrollment application through Wonderschool. Once your application is reviewed and a spot is available, I will contact you about the next steps.
