Our Teachers

I am Parish aka Ms. P., founder of Little People Big Future Nursery. I began caring for children full-time in 2011 during my daughter’s high school years. During that time, her schoolmates appreciated my attention and compassion and confided in me when they needed to vent or talk about their personal and academic problems. As a result, I was able to help a homeless young lady who trusted and confided in me about her problems. I later became her foster parent to her and a childcare provider for her six-month-old daughter. At the same time, I was also a Respite Care provider to children my mother fostered while also helping her care for my late aunt who suffered from Alzheimer’s. Qualities such as joy, patience, kindness, goodness, mildness, and self-control I learned at an early age; allowed me to provide loving care.

I am originally from Oakland, Ca, where witnessed hunger, homelessness, and fatherless children which inspired me to help needy people. I would share my family’s food and clothes from our closet to help. It was not until I had children of my own and later began volunteering at their high school that I felt the need to help my son and daughter’s struggling schoolmates. Learning that many of their high school schoolmates were failing because of not having daycare for their children, inspired me to start a “passing grade” childcare in my home. Upon moving to Las Vegas with my daughter and her children to follow in 2016, I was inspired to open another in-home childcare after noticing how hard it was for my daughter and her associates to work and or pursue a college degree.

I deeply love caring for children and that is why I am so excited for this next chapter of my life. It is important to me to love, teach, and nurture your LITTLE PEOPLE. Children are like sponges: when we show joy, patience, kindness, goodness, mildness, self-control and dedication, they will soak up good qualities as they grow into a BIG FUTURE.
