I have a masters in education along side of 12 years of teaching in elementary setting. I’ve started my own childcare to provide a unique and emergent experience of learning to children and their families. I have a passion to provide education in a holistic, organic, and nurturing way.

Nevyana is an exceptional child care provider. She is compassionate, reliable, patient, organized, and empathetic. She has a sense of understanding and desire to provide child care that enriches your child’s everyday life. Joy has provided a healthy and safe learning environment for my son. Her experience as a primary school teacher is incredibly valuable and she applies that knowledge to foster growth in my child. She encourages learning through play and tailors activities to your child’s level of understanding. They have worked on speech, recognizing and processing emotions, potty training support, reading, early writing, math and much more. Joy also provides healthy meals and snacks and encourages outdoor play/activities as well. Her regular updates in the Wonderschool app let me know how my child is doing throughout the day. This includes potty breaks, meal time updates, and plenty photos of him enjoying activities. She also encourages having a rest and reset period during the day where your child can give their body and mind a break. The environment that Joy has created is much more beneficial to my child than a larger public daycare where individual attention and instruction is usually overlooked. Emily Mom

Philosophy

Our early childcare facility’s philosophy focuses on the holistic integration of teaching practices inspired by American and European best practices. In addition, our approach incorporates culturally responsive teaching strategies, multiple intelligences, differentiation, and Universal Learning principles to meet the varying needs of children and create a successful learning environment. We also consider children’s background knowledge, schema, preferences, strengths, areas of growth, social/emotional needs, and expectations, aiming to provide a personalized, interactive, and memorable learning experience. Additionally, our team includes a licensed ABA therapist who specializes in working with children on the spectrum to ensure meaningful and individualized learning experiences.

We are located off the 215 and Charleston Blvd, near Red Rock and Coral Academy.

About our program

Joy’s Universal Learning Academy offers a variety of child care programs to meet your needs, including 24- hour care. Services include:

• 24-Hour Care (12am-12am). A.M. Program (6am-2pm)
• After School Care from (3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p. m)
• Over-Night Care from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Weekend Care 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nevyana Trifonova, founder and director of the Joy’s Universal Learning Academy (JULA), brings 20 years of experience in education, leadership, business, holistic practices, and community building to her new educational program designed to support those parents and care givers seeking quality social/emotional and academic instruction for their lovely children. Nevyana better known as ‘Joy’ has been an outstanding teacher, leader, healer, and mentor to hundred of families and children in United State and Bulgaria. Joy has been recognized as “Outstanding Student” at the Fifth Annual Literacy Awards Ceremony in 2001, “Cambridge Who is Who” for Executives and Professionals in 2007, awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Perfect Work Attendance in 2009, and Best Classroom Climate” in 2010. She was also nominated for “2016 Nevada Teacher of the Year Recognition Program”. Nevyana completed her first Bachelor of Science in Economics, and Master of Science in Marketing and Management in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2008, she earned a Master of Arts of Education degree at the University of Phoenix. Nevyana’s degree collection continued with a Doctor of Divinity in 2010.
