Join us on this journey of empowering young minds, nurturing their curiosity, and laying the foundation for a brighter future filled with limitless possibilities. Madelyn Rhodes is the mother of 5 children, CEO and owner of 2wice A Child Daycare, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. With a passion for community advocacy and a strong commitment to providing quality childcare, Madelyn brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role.

Madelyn’s journey in community advocacy began in her childhood upbring. Ever since she was a young child, where her dad was the Senior Minister, and mom church secretary, she had a baby on her hip so it was not far-fetched that her life’s work would involve child care. During her time as a CCSD Special Education Teacher’s Aid, specifically working with students on the autism spectrum in grades K-2. She received specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis from 2017 to 2019, equipping her with valuable skills in supporting children with autism.

In addition to her work in education, Madelyn is the CEO and owner of Sanman Community Advocacy Firm LLC. Through her firm, she actively works to bring positive change to the community she lives in. Madelyn’s dedication to community advocacy led to her appointment as the President of the “Historic Westside Marble Manor Resident Council,” representing the largest family site with the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority from 2019 to current (2023).

Madelyn’s passion for supporting children extends beyond her daycare. She co-authored a children’s book called, “Ella Searches For Apples” with her daughter, Kayle Rhodes, and serves as the program coordinator of a family business and upcoming pilot program called “BYOPC: Build Your Own PC,” with her son Michael as the Lead Junior IT.

With a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by her community, Madelyn’s work extends to advocating for small businesses, youth, elders, and single parents. She is actively involved in community activism and rehabilitation efforts and strives to address the education and financial disparities that affect the community.

To further enhance her expertise, Madelyn is pursuing a certificate with the US Institute of Diplomacy & Human Rights (USIDHR) as a Human Rights Consultant and Instructor. This additional training will empower her to continue advocating for the rights and well-being of individuals and families.

Madelyn’s dedication to the community, her experience in special education, and her commitment to providing quality child care make her a compassionate and knowledgeable leader at 2wice A Child Daycare.

Philosophy

2wice A Child Daycare & Early Learning Center fosters holistic child development through an innovative integration of Marva Collins’ proven academic methods, Waldorf education principles, and STEM/STEAM enrichment. We believe that children learn best by playing, because play allows them to explore, create, and connect with the world around them in meaningful ways. We emphasize the importance of imagination, creativity, and hands-on learning in our play-based philosophy. Our educational philosophy is rooted in a holistic, child-centered approach that nurtures the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of every child. We believe that each child is a unique individual with inherent curiosity, creativity, and a natural love for learning. Our curriculum is inspired by the principles of Waldorf education and incorporates elements of play-based learning, STEM/STEAM methodologies, and culturally responsive teaching practices. We create sensory-rich environments that stimulate exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning experiences.

Admissions

Admission Process

At 2wice A Child Daycare and Learning Center, we understand that choosing the right childcare program is a significant decision for families. We strive to make the admission process straightforward, transparent, and tailored to the unique needs of each family.

Our admission process consists of the following steps:

  1. Initial Inquiry and Tour: Families are encouraged to schedule an initial visit to our facility, where they can tour our classrooms, outdoor play areas, and meet our dedicated team of early childhood educators. During this visit, we will provide an overview of our educational philosophy, curriculum, and program offerings.

  2. Application and Documentation: Interested families will be required to complete an enrollment application, providing important information about their child, including medical history, allergies, and any special needs or accommodations required.

Additionally, families must submit the following documentation:

  • Child’s birth certificate
  • Immunization records
  • Recent family photograph
  • Emergency contact information
  • Any relevant court orders or custodial agreements (if applicable)
  1. Family Interview: Once the application and documentation are received, we will schedule a family interview. This informal meeting allows us to get to know your family better, understand your child’s unique needs, and address any questions or concerns you may have.

  2. Enrollment Agreement and Fee Payment: Upon acceptance into our program, families will be required to review and sign an enrollment agreement, outlining our policies, procedures, and expectations. At this stage, the non-refundable registration fee and the first month’s tuition payment will be due.

  3. Transition Plan: We understand that starting a new childcare program can be a significant transition for both children and parents. Our experienced educators will work closely with your family to develop a personalized transition plan, ensuring a smooth and comfortable adjustment period for your child.
