Angela Tinker, Owner and Teacher Hello I am you my name is Ms. Angie. I have worked over the last 17 years of my life in some form of Early Childhood Education. Teaching in my own class as Lead Preschool and Early Childhood Educator, to supporting teachers as an Educational Assistant in both Kindergarten and Preschool, also Daycares settings. I graduated form CNM with my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Multicultural Education 2021. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Multicultural Education. I have certifications as a Baby Sign Language Instructor, Children’s Fitness and nutrition and Yoga. I believe that a small home preschool is exactly what I was looking for when I was raising my own children. I feel that with the development of a strong community will allow us to really know each child as an individuals and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years of school experience.
Philosophy
Mrs. Tinker’s Play School was created to help support our community, it’s children and families with early education and care. Play improves the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and young people. Through play, children learn about the world and themselves. They also learn skills they need for study, work and relationships such as: confidence, self-esteem, resilience, interaction, social, skills, independence, curiosity, coping with challenging situations. I wanted to create a space that does put the child and family first.
About our program
At our school, we teach the concepts of math, science, engineering, art, social sciences and early literacy through our play-based, child-led curriculum. We use the interests and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.

- Submit an Enrollment Application If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director. Please do not apply to enroll until you have set up a tour and visited the program.
