Philosophy

We believe that children learn best through a healthy and safe environment, positive reinforcement for behavior and through activities that promote exploration of each child’s needs. One of the most important ingredients in childcare is the quality of philosophy in the environment that supports all needs of the children and include all their abilities. There are stages through which children develop physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively. At CBLC, we are committed to support children through each of these stages of development.

About our program

Counting Blessings Learning Center is a dual language program. We are committed to provide a nurturing and healthy environment and meeting the childcare needs of the families in the Albuquerque area, therefore giving each child the best opportunity to succeed. Our goal is to touch and strengthen the community through the arm of the children. We are dedicated to help cover all children with all abilities.

We believe that children learn best in an environment that fosters learning through play. This means that the children have opportunities to explore and interact with materials, people, ideas and events. This helps to empower them to take control of their own learning, while engaged in hands on activities that help to promote their development. The teachers value the importance of professional development in early childhood and are continually using their knowledge to better the program.

Each of our teachers use the Focus portfolio assessment tools, which enables them to meet the needs of each individual child effectively. Our teachers incorporate activities into their lesson plans that are designed to meet the interest of the child, also allowing them the freedom to take task risks and feel self-confident and supported by their environment. We incorporate all six of the developmental areas: physical, emotional, language, motor, social and cognitive. However, our main purpose is to ensure that every child feels safe and respected in all areas of his/her social emotional well-being.
