Ralee Plugge is the owner and operator of RaeBear’s Daycare, which is where the name comes from. When Ralee was little (and still every great once in a while) her parents would call her Rae Bear, so it just seemed fitting to use as the name for an in-home daycare, where your child(ren) will be treated just as if they were at home with family! RaeBear’s Daycare is on the Family Service food program where all food and parent’s choice formula is provided. RaeBear’s Daycare is licensed by the state of Nebraska as a Home 1 daycare facility. Ralee received a bachelor’s degree from University of Nebraska at Kearney, where she majored in Family Studies with a minor in Business. She continues her education each year with at least 12 clock hours of training required by the state, but the most important lessons she learns are from the children in her care. Ralee is also a past President of Millard Area Providers, which helps provide a lot of the required training. She is also working on becoming a state recognized high quality program by participating in Step Up to Quality. Ralee is currently on Step 2 with hopes of Step 4 maybe 5 by December 2022!
Ralee is married to Matt and they have four children of their own. There are also two fur babies in the household. Both are lab mixes that love the attention they receive from the kiddos, most of the time!
My favorite part about working with kids is the creativity and imagination that they come up with or how contagious their laughter is!
I love playing outside with the kids, especially during the warmer months when we all work in my garden together.
I have always been around childcare and have wanted to be able to stay home with my own children, so just made sense to do it.
I look for something small and somewhere that has consistency in the staff so that my children feel comfortable and safe leaving home.
I like to play games with my family, movie nights, or going on a walk to play at the park or exploring the zoo. I love to read and is how I spend most of my free time. I also really enjoy my garden during the summer months.

Philosophy
I want to create a safe caring environment. I want the children to feel like they have a choice and a voice and that they feel like they are at home. I love when someone shows up for drop off and the rest of the kids say “Billy is home!”. I work to make them feel like they are at home with pictures of their family and themselves hanging up even though it is my home.
