I have a true passion for working with children. Helping each child progress in all areas of their development- academic, social, language, and motor - is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learns that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.
Personally, I have been married for 7 glorious years with Lemuel Yumul a retired army for 20 years of services and have one beautiful daughter who is 6 years old. We love to watch her do Cheer and swim classes. I also enjoy reading, music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
I look forward to working together with you as partners in your child’s growth and development !!
Philosophy
Children learn best in a nurturing, child-initiated play-base environment that fosters self-confidence, trust, creativity, autonomy and acceptance of individual differences. The staff establishes positive personal interaction, nurturing each child’s growth and education. We plan for all areas of a child’s development and education: cognitive, emotional, social, creative, and physical. Individuality is acknowledge and respected as each child explores a child-centered environment at her or his own pace. A strong sense of identity and competence is developed as children are helped to feel good about themselves, their abilities, and uniqueness. In a classroom we implement developmentally appropriate practice, achieving goals in the context of a caring community of learners in which all children can develop.
