My grandchild was potty trained in less than a week and she has learned so much in a month time! Absolutely best decision ever!

Philosophy

We are here to serve families by providing a positive environment where children can play, feel safe, secure, valued, and develop into healthy individuals.

Toddletown Kidz’s ambition is to meet your child’s total needs by providing the essentials for his or her physical, social, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth. Our goal is to support the development of self-esteem and self-confidence resulting in the child’s ability and willingness to learn.

Every day at Toddletown Kidz, your child will be provided loving individual attention and opportunities for development of language, motor skills, creative expressions, and social skills development. We believe that from birth your child should be stimulated with stories, songs, music, and a variety of facial expressions, sounds, and sights.

Young children learn best through playful interaction with their environment. The experiences offered to young children should help them increase the skills of problem solving, thinking, reasoning, and creating—not just the skill of memorizing. They can be stimulated, guided, and encouraged in carefully planned activities that allow them to develop at their own optimum rate.

Providing the best environment for your child is important, especially during the first few years of life. In the early years, children learn to trust, seek curiosity, and to interact with people. Our staff is here to be the warm and loving adults that can provide your child with activities and interaction appropriate to their development.

About our program

Dear Parents:

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child in my Family Child Care Home. I hope I can provide all of the love attention you could possibly want for your child. All of the children I care for are treated as my own, and I hope that everyone feels like part of our family.

The reason I began providing child care in my home is because I really enjoy working with little children and I wanted to supplement our family’s income. I’ve found it best if everyone is aware of some of the policies that have helped to make our program satisfactory for all.

I have prepared the attached Parent/Provider Agreement, which includes the areas that are most important to me. I hope that you will be comfortable talking to me about any area with which you feel you will not be able to comply. Because I have my own family to consider, it is important that all of the parents respect my hours of operation, health policy, and need for prompt payment of the weekly fee.

It is also important that we are in agreement about my policies regarding vacations, holidays, and other absences. I would also appreciate you advising me of any important changes in your family life which may affect your little one’s adjustment to child care.

Again, thank you for allowing me to care for your child. You can be assured that I will do my best to provide an interesting day for your child so that you can have peace of mind while you are not present.

Sincerely,

Marie Brown, Owner

Our Service

We are a center dedicated to the special needs of each child. Our center is well organized, warm, and cheerful. We provide interesting, developmentally age-appropriate toys and materials which stimulate children’s interest in learning about themselves, their families and the world around them.

Our center provides comprehensive service to children and their families that enhance and promote the love and care children already receive from their own homes. We cannot replace the role of parents; however, we represent a version of your extended family, working together to provide the best care and education for your child.

Our Families

Your involvement and input is vital to your child’s development. We encourage parents to get to know their child’s caregiver, providing opportunities for daily rapport. We will call on you for special projects, fundraisers, and a variety of other tasks. We value the time and energy parents spend to help us maintain high quality care. Toddletown Kidz extends an open-door policy to all parents/guardians. Other family members are welcome with advanced notice.

Our Children

It is from a mother’s heart that we approach childcare. Our children are the reason we are here. Children are so precious and need to be loved. We are here to provide tender loving care and a nurturing atmosphere. We strive to plan meaningful days by expanding their interests. We carefully observe each child’s behavior to gain insight into ways to motivate, guide, and challenge them. We make a daily effort to empower our children with a sense of self-worth. Through self-respect and self-love, our children will be able to love and respect others.

Our facility is open to any child who may benefit from the program. The child must be two (2) years to twelve (12) years old. Our program includes age-appropriate activities, safe, healthy and nurturing environment. The parent must complete the following forms for each child they are enrolling. All forms are subject to yearly renewal and must be kept up-to-date:

Application for Enrollment

Signed Discipline Statement

Current Year’s Physical (with original signature of doctor or his/her designee)

Immunization Record

Authorization for Emergency Medical Care

Discipline Agreement

Travel & Activity Authorization

Restricted Pick-Up Form

Parent Statement of Cooperation & Agreement

Before the child’s first day of attendance, all forms must be completed and returned to me and the registration fee paid. The medical forms must be filled out and signed by a doctor. They must include an immunization record indicating the immunizations against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, mumps and rubella, H. Influenza type b (Hib), Hepatitis B and polio are all up-to-date. We are required by law to have proof of this medical examination and immunization record before a child is enrolled (or within 30 days thereafter enrolling). Each time a child gets another immunization, we must have a signed note from the doctor to add it to the child’s record. Information required for emergency care is discussed in detail in the Emergency Care Information Section of this handbook.

All children are enrolled on a two (2) week trial basis, during which either party may cancel with a two-week notice. At the end of this period, the parent(s) and provider will talk about how the child has adjusted to the new environment. To ensure a successful transition parent/guardian will visit with the child prior to active enrollment followed by one additional visit whereby child will spend ½ of the day in the program. Advanced payments are required for the entire two-week period. If care is to begin later, an advance payment for the first week of childcare holds a place for your child. This payment will not be refunded if the child does not begin on the date agreed.
