Brenda Wilborn, Director
My journey in childcare began 38 years ago when I became a mother, igniting a deep passion for nurturing and educating young minds. For the past 19 years, I have dedicated myself to a professional career in childcare, where I’ve had the privilege of working with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. My experience spans diverse environments, including working overseas with Military families, which has enriched my understanding of children’s unique needs and development. I hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, I am CPR & First Aid certified, and I continuously learn and grow from the children I care for, finding immense joy in guiding them as they explore, discover, and learn about the world.
Philosophy
As an early childcare educator, I believe it is my responsibility and duty to provide the children in my care with positive and enriching learning experiences in a safe environment. My philosophy, shaped by nearly 20 years of experience, is rooted in the understanding that effective childcare requires meeting each child at their individual level of development. Recognizing that children learn at different rates and have varying levels of attention to detail, I am committed to creating an environment that stimulates cognitive growth and nurtures each child’s unique potential. I believe that children are most motivated to learn when they are given opportunities to make choices within a stimulating and supportive environment. My role as an educator is to act as a facilitator, offering enriching activities that encourage children to explore their strengths and address their challenges, fostering their overall development.
